About
Empowering Women. Strengthening Families. Transforming Communities.
Women in Power Empowering is more than a giving circle—we are a movement of Tarrant County Black women committed to removing barriers and creating opportunities for women to rise. Our mission is simple but powerful: provide the financial resources and awareness women need to overcome obstacles, reclaim their power, and thrive.
We fill a gap that traditional aid programs overlook—helping women who work hard but still fall short due to income restrictions that disqualify them from public assistance. By investing in these women, we strengthen families, nurture small businesses, and fuel the organizations fighting for those in crisis.
When you give, you’re not just making a donation—you’re changing the trajectory of a woman’s life and uplifting the community we all share.
Join us. Stand with us. Together, we can power possibility.
Women in Power Empowering is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Thank You Darlin Foundation
Congratulations to our 2025 recipient of our $2,000 Business Empowerment Fund Award, Thank You Darlin Foundation. Thank You Darlin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by Carolyn West, and created to promote youth literacy through the arts, particularly among youth from under-resourced communities, to help develop their sense of agency and ensure that young voices, who may not otherwise have a chance, get heard, validated, and amplified. They offer a diverse portfolio of programs and services to meet the expressed needs of the community, including our award-winning K-12 afterschool arts and literacy program built with teachers and proven with students, professional development opportunities for educators to gain tools for integrating arts and literacy into their classroom curriculum, youth summer programs to stop summer learning loss, and the publication of eight anthologies (hardcover and e-books) with original poetry written by the youth we serve.

Sabrina Conner, President
"I know the impact giving can have in a persons life. Without the support of individuals like my mom as a young single mother, I would not have overcame certain struggles. I understand that not everyone has a strong support system to assist when they fall on hard times."

Shavon Cormick, VP/Member Liaison
"I give because everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive and become the best version of themselves."

Stephanie Broussard, Secretary
"I give because I want to be a part of the change that I'm so eager to see in our world. I believe that we all deserve opportunities and support."

Tiana Clewis, Treasurer

Nichole Masters-Henry
Immediate Past President
"To teach my son that being a part of a community means contributing resources, time, talent, and treasure for the improvement and advancement of the members of the community"

Corinne Fiagome
"I am passionate about supporting the well-being of women and their families in our community."
